Schedule:  9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Accommodations :  Students are

responsible for making their own arrangements for lodging

and dinners.  Breakfast snacks, lunch and refreshments will

be provided by Vivilore's excellent restaurant. 


Fall Workshop:  September 17th through September 22nd, 2017

Arrive Sunday, September 17th, by 3:00 p.m. for check-in,

dinner, and orientation.  Hooking classes are Monday through

Thursday, 9:00-12:00 / 1:00-3:00.  Mini classes will be

available after class hours.  The class room will be open for

your convenience until 10:00 PM Monday through Thursday.

The Unity Village Hotel and Conference Center guest rooms

include plush queen-sized beds, fine linens, flat-screen TVs,

refrigerators, granite accented bathrooms and free Wi-Fi

access in every room.




Those who stay in the Unity Village Hotel                                                 

will enjoy a Continental breakfast, which

includes hot/cold cereals, hard cooked                                                          eggs, fruit, Danish, juices, yogurt, bagels,                                                     muffins, and breakfast burritos.  

All attendees will enjoy one dinner, Sunday evening,

and four lunches at the Unity food pavilion.  Every

meal features at least one entré, side dishes, soup and

salad bar, and dessert bar.  Vegetarian options are

available for every meal.


There is also a Starbucks

located in the Unity Village

Visitors Center a short

distance from the hotel.


Woolly Wisdom Workshop Instructers


Victoria Hart Ingalls

Victoria does double duty as both director and teacher of WOOLLY WISDOM WORKSHOP.  With thirty years of experience, she encourages students to bring detail to their work by understanding the art lessons applicable to each project.  Comfortable with both fine shading and wide cut,she enjoys inspiring her students to learn.  Victoria has a degree in Fine Art and has worked as a portrait painter.  She has written for Rug Hooking Magazine and her work has been featured in Celebrations.  She welcomes students at all levels of experience for a fun filled informative class. 


Kathy Morton


What could be more wonderful than to welcome Kathy back to the Woolly Wisdom Workshop ? As a renowned teacher and designer of wide-cut pieces, several of which have been featured in magazines and books, she inspires students of all levels to create their own works of art.  With a degree in Art Education and thirty years of Rug Hooking experience, Kathy’s skills at color planning and custom designing are unsurpassed.  Her patterns, kits, and beautifully dyed wools are available through her business, Oak Ridge Cottage Rugs (WWW.oakridgecottagerugs.com) This is a class not to be missed.


Carol Kassera

Carol is a certified McGown teacher and is the owner of Prairie Craft House Designs.  She has been featured in News and Views, Rug Hooking Magazine, Association of Traditional Rug Hooking Artists and Celebrations.  She has additionally received a first place ribbon at a P.K. McGown National Exhibit and was honored to receive a Gold Medal from the Norwegian American Museum.  Carol teaches all aspects of Rug Hooking, including animals, pictorials, Orientals, faces and wide cut.  Carol will also design individual requests.  She teaches at various rug schools throughout the country.  No limit to class size.

Kathy Meentemeyer

Kathy Meentemeyer is a certified McGown teacher from St. Louis Missouri.  She teaches at workshops across the country, as well as in her home studio.  She specializes in color planning and is known for her original hand dyed wools.  She also carries Dream Catcher Designs.  She loves helping students to express their own originality through their rug art.
